Mr Positive

Also known as Frank Jackson, is a speaker, writer and educator in the scientific field of what goes right in life, positive psychology. So much of life is focused on the negative, to address that why not focus on what makes us thrive?

His primary work currently revolves around The Pearl Effect, a theory that examines well-being in the Black community both historically and in today's context in spite of continuous oppression. He speaks about the beauty alongside suffering. He uses the science of happiness, discusses topics such as strengths, belonging, resilience, meaning, community, and positive spaces/institutions. He’s spoken for GSK, Comcast, Harvard, Penn, and more around the country. Frank studied under Martin Seligman (founder of Positive Psychology) at the University of Pennsylvania, where he now works as a coordinator, teaching assistant, and Assistant Instructor for undergraduate and graduate students. He hopes to continue his work formally in a PhD program next fall as well as through his writing.

As one of less than 30 Black positive psychologists in the world, he is uniquely qualified to equip audiences with tools to ensure well-being in various contexts. Along with his work, Frank is an avid reader, writer, casual poet, and sports enthusiast.
