The Pearl Effect in Action

Throughout history, the Black community has created pearls and placed them in positive institutions, like a pearl to an oyster shell, to choose, protect, and bolster well-being. These institutions are varied as they are complex, such as the spirituality of the Black Church, intellect of the Harlem Renaissance, and expressiveness of Hip-Hop.
